At approximately 1:15 p.m., Dalton was driving southbound when his vehicle veered left of center, colliding with a Toyota Highlander. Dalton’s passenger, Emily Harford, 21, of West Lafayette, was critically injured and rushed to the hospital, though both Dalton and Emily were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The other vehicle, driven by 33-year-old Alyssa Maculaitis from New Philadelphia, also sustained damage, with both Maculaitis and her two-year-old son being transported for medical care after the collision.
